Statement on the Astley Business Park

Whistl moved to the Astley Business Park in order to upgrade our depot facilities from our previous site in Bolton. The location of the business park is a mixed industrial and residential site with warehouses, logistics and manufacturing sites sharing the roads and the local area with housing.

Since taking the lease of the Astley Business Park, we have been in active dialogue with the local residents' association regarding our operations from the site. We have listened to concerns raised about lighting and noise and, wherever possible, have implemented mitigation measures within the approved permissions for the site to operate as a 24/7 logistics facility.

We've seen a number of posts circulating on social media about Whistl's operations at Astley Business Park and our customers. While everyone is entitled to their opinion, some of the information being shared simply isn't accurate.

It is disappointing to see businesses that use Whistl’s services being contacted about matters for which they have no responsibility or involvement. We would encourage anyone with concerns about the site or its operation to raise them directly with Whistl via enquiries@whistl.co.uk rather than with businesses that use our services and have no involvement in the planning, development or management of the depot.
